Can my punctured tire be repaired?
A technician must inspect the tire and follow its manufacturer's limits. Suitable tread-area punctures no larger than 6 mm may be eligible, but damage location, internal condition and previous repairs can rule a repair out.
Can a sidewall puncture or an outside plug be treated as a permanent repair?
Sidewall and shoulder injuries are outside the passenger/light-truck puncture repair area. An outside plug alone does not provide the inspection and inner-liner seal required by industry puncture repair guidance.
